WhatsApp changed its Delete For Everyone feature again with redownloading option in order to enhance the user experience which will enable the users to again download the deleted media files. The popular instant messenger is now keeping the deleted files on servers which means that the users can again download them if they want.
Initially, WhatsApp launched the new feature of Delete For Everyone last year. At the time of the launch, it allowed people delete sent messages, including media within seven minutes of sending them. Both recipient and sender get a notification when messages get successfully deleted.
But unfortunately, later the feature of Delete For Everyone come out with major drawbacks like if someone has quoted your message on WhatsApp before you delete it, you will still be able to see that message making the ‘Delete for Everyone’ feature ineffective. That’s why WhatsApp update its feature where users will be able to delete sent messages even after an hour means up to 1hour 8 minutes and 16 seconds.

Meanwhile recently, the WhatsApp beta testers reported a mysterious timestamp bug in the messenger. Due to a mysterious bug, the timestamp on the chat window of users is appearing with numbers. For example, instead of ‘Today’, messages which are exchanged on that day are appearing with “84oday”; instead of ‘Yesterday’ the timestamp is shown as “89esterday” for messages which are exchanged a day before. However, the company has now rolled out a fix for the same.
