WhatsApp on iOS now lets Siri send messages to group chats The iPhone app for WhatsApp has been updated and now allows users to send WhatsApp group messages directly by speaking to Siri.

Initially, WhatsApp rolled out the ability to send individual messages using Siri. To send a group message, just activate Siri and say send the message to WhatsApp group. Siri will confirm the group name from the chat list and then you will have to speak your out message and tell Siri to send it.

But With the latest update, it now lets you use Siri to send messages to your WhatsApp groups as well. The new Siri support comes as part of version 2.18.80 of the app, which measures in at 110.8 MB. You don’t need to access WhatsApp on your Apple device and then type the message for your WhatsApp groups. Instead, you can use your voice to send an important message to one of your groups on the instant messaging app. This comes as an extension to the Siri integration that has been a part for WhatsApp since September 2016.

How to send group messages using Siri on WhatsApp for iOS?

# In order to send a group message using Siri, you need to first open Siri by saying “Hey, Siri!” or pressing and holding the home button.

# After opening Siri, you will have to command Siri to “Send a message to WhatsApp group [name]”.

# Siri will after that show you a list of groups if there are multiple groups with the similar subject.

# You have to tap on the right now from the list and say your message.

# Once the correct group has been selected, you’ll be able to dictate your message and Siri will ask for confirmation before sending the message to the group.

How the media preview feature on iOS notifications work?

# The new update is adding media preview feature on iOS notifications.

# With this feature you no longer need to open WhatsApp every time on your iPhone to see photos or GIFs.

# The app will show the preview of the message on the notification itself. This feature is reportedly being tested for now and you could get it soon.

# Also, users can download media files directly from the notification.

# The new features are available on iOS 10 and above.
