WhatsApp has started rolling out Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature for all Android users. It allows users to watch videos from third-party apps such as YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook in a small window, while they continue chatting with their contacts on WhatsApp.

PiP is a special type of multi-window mode mostly used for video playback. It lets the user watch a video in a small window pinned to a corner of the screen while navigating between apps or browsing content on the main screen.

The PiP feature was rolled out in January for the iOS users, PiP mode was initially introduced in the platform’s Android beta in October.

The company has been testing the PiP feature since October in beta, and now, the update is available at Google Play with the latest WhatsApp’s version 2.18.380. iPhone users have been using the feature since January this year.

# Also, WhatsApp is considering a Dark mode, like YouTube, to make night-time viewing easier, this new feature would save the user’s eyes from excessive glare and would also help in saving battery life on phones. According to WABetaInfo the dark mode is still in development and there’s no launch time as of now.
